Recyclaball iPhone Game goes live
Recyclaball has officially gone live. We do a lot of heavy enterprise and backend architecture here at ToolTwist, but getting to build a physics-based mobile game is always a fun change of pace. Here is a quick look at what the game is all about and the awesome partners we worked with to make it happen.

What is Recyclaball?
At its core, Recyclaball is an addictive, flick-style arcade game, but with a uniquely Australian twist. Think AFL meets environmental awareness.
Instead of kicking a standard footy, you are flicking a crushed plastic water bottle right through the big sticks in the middle of a packed digital stadium. The goal? To perfectly arc your shots into the giant green Visy recycling bins positioned on the field.
It sounds simple, but getting the trajectory and physics just right so the bottle reacts naturally to your finger swipes was a really fun challenge for our development team.
Teaming Up with Chris Judd and Visy
You might have noticed a very familiar face on the promotional graphics. The game is proudly presented by AFL superstar and Carlton captain Chris Judd.
Chris teamed up with Visy, one of Australia's largest packaging and recycling companies, to push a really positive environmental message: recycling matters, and it can actually be pretty fun. Building a mobile app is one of the best ways to engage people, especially kids and footy fans, with a sustainability message without it feeling like a boring lecture.
Integrating Visy's iconic green branding and Judd's star power into a slick, playable iOS interface was a massive collaborative effort, and we are incredibly proud of the final product.
Give It a Go
If you are an AFL fan, or if you are just looking for a highly addictive game to kill some time on your morning commute, you definitely need to try this out. We built the swiping mechanics to be as intuitive and satisfying as possible, though hitting the bins gets trickier as your score goes up.
