UploadItOnce goes live

UploadItOnce (UIO) has officially gone live. We’ve been grinding on this project for a while, and it is incredibly rewarding to finally see it out in the wild helping real businesses.

The Data Entry Nightmare

Let's be honest: nobody gets into boat sales because they love data entry. But until now, managing digital inventory has been a brutally repetitive task for brokers.

To get maximum visibility for a vessel, a brokerage usually needs to list it across multiple different online classifieds and marketplace sites. Think about the math on that for a second. If a broker has an inventory of 50 boats and they want to feature them on 10 different listing websites, that is 500 individual uploads.

That means someone in the office is sitting there manually copying and pasting descriptions, uploading image files one by one, and adjusting specs to fit the unique format of every single website. It is a massive drain on productivity.

Enter UploadItOnce

We built UploadItOnce to completely eliminate that bottleneck. UIO is a centralized, web-based service that acts as a single control panel for a broker's entire digital inventory.

Here is how it changes the daily workflow:

  • One Single Upload: Instead of loading those 50 boats into 10 different sites, the broker simply logs into UIO and enters the listing details exactly once.
  • Automated Reformatting: Every boat listing site has its own weird quirks, image size limits, and formatting rules. Our servers handle all of that heavy lifting behind the scenes, automatically reformatting the raw listing data to match the strict requirements of each destination site.
  • Instant Distribution: Once the data is in our system, the servers automatically push the advertisements out to the required external sites.

What This Means for the Industry

For our early adopters, the impact has been immediate. By automating the grunt work of online advertising, brokers can get out from behind their desks and get back out on the docks where they actually make their money.

Building a system that reliably maps and translates data across so many different third-party platforms wasn't easy, but seeing it actively streamlining operations for clients makes it totally worth it. A massive shoutout to the development team for getting this architecture dialed in, and a big thank you to the folks at Rowell Marine for being part of the journey.
