- Commonwealth BankControlled operating costs without slowing the customer experienceCommonwealth Bank (CBA), one of Australia’s largest established enterprises, had two significant technology investments to bring together: its mobile banking app and licensed proprietary property data, the industry standard for Australian property intelligence. The challenge was making them work together seamlessly for end customers, without further investment in soaring data costs. ToolTwist’s Message Service Gateway (MSG) became the API middleware that connects the two for the CommBank Property Guide, first in the dedicated iPhone app and later within the CommBank app. It acts as an “intelligent pipe” between the app and the data, so CBA gets more from what it has already built.Read the full story
- CotalityMonetised an existing data investmentCotality is an established enterprise that had already invested heavily in technology, most notably a property data warehouse covering more than 10 million properties and decades of history. Yet the real estate, finance and government professionals who relied on that data still lived with the friction of getting to it and turning it into something useful for their clients. ToolTwist was the core development and quality assurance partner for the RP Data Mobile App, which turned that existing data investment into a mobile product that allows Cotality to monetise its data.Read the full story
- PropertyHubUnified valuation workflows without replacing existing systemsPropertyHub, an REA Group company, is an enterprise-grade platform that powers lending decisions and valuation workflows across the Australian real estate market. It was initially launched and used by Commonwealth Bank (CBA), an established enterprise with many systems and significant existing investment in lending infrastructure. The bank’s lenders and brokers needed to reach Cotality’s deep property intelligence without adding yet another disconnected tool. ToolTwist was engaged to architect and develop both the frontend and backend of the PropertyHub integration, using the ToolTwist Framework to deliver an enterprise-scale solution that has continued to evolve for well over a decade.Read the full story

- Macquarie BankModernised a legacy platform and cut the cost of growthPropertyIQ Portal, the new benchmark in strata management, gives strata professionals a single operational view of their business. Built with Macquarie Bank’s onshore teams, with ToolTwist as the core development partner, it replaces a legacy portal that was expensive to run and risky to change: every new client added its own infrastructure and maintenance cost, and client data sat scattered across separate systems. By replacing separate on-premise deployments with a single multi-tenant platform, integrated with Macquarie Bank’s PropertyIQ Core system, onboarding a new client no longer adds infrastructure or maintenance cost, and the bank gets one trusted view of its clients. Strata managers operate with greater efficiency, transparency and profitability.Read the full story
- Global Boat and Yacht ManufacturerUnified product, owner and warranty data without a full system replacementA large boat and yacht builder with a worldwide presence had invested in technology for years: a custom dealer configurator, a CRM, an ERP and a general-purpose work-management platform that had grown far beyond its original purpose. Yet warranty still ran on email and paper, customer data sat in several systems, and no single system could describe a finished boat. ToolTwist designed and built one platform that connects what the business already had. A shared record for every hull, a warranty application for dealers worldwide, and a modernised configurator now work together, while the old work-management platform is retired one team at a time.Read the full story
- International BPO CompanyMapped what a legacy platform really does before migrating off itAn international business process outsourcing (BPO) company is migrating its legacy OutSystems applications, which support recruitment, onboarding and employee operations across multiple countries, to an open technology stack. With code spread across hundreds of repositories, a clear account of what the applications do, what depends on what, and what the replacement must preserve was hard to assemble. ToolTwist ran a read-only assessment that brought application relationships, selected business workflows and documented risks into one explorable reference, so migration work can be prioritised. The aim is greater control over its software, more choice in how it is developed and operated, and opportunities to reduce licensing costs.Read the full story
Startups and Private Capital 2
- RollFormConnectPut founders back on product and got the platform ready for what’s nextRollFormConnect is an early-stage company founded by steel frame manufacturers who began building an AI-powered scheduling and production platform for the roll forming industry in 2021. Its flagship product, Intelligent Scheduling, uses AI algorithms and real-time data to automate and optimize the scheduling of roll forming machines. Like many startups, it moved fast: the first version was built quickly, partly by external contractors and partly with AI coding tools, and found traction with manufacturers. That success brought challenges that had nothing to do with scheduling algorithms and everything to do with running a platform customers, and soon investors, depend on. ToolTwist partnered with RollFormConnect as an extension of its team to close that gap.Read the full story
- GoXProFreed founders to run the business while ToolTwist ran the platformGoXPro is an all-in-one personal-training and coaching platform for gym chains, studios, and independent personal trainers. It was originally built by one of its co-founders, who designed the architecture and wrote the code himself. As GoXPro won more clients across Australasia, Canada, Europe, and South-East Asia, the business needed to deliver more, and more predictably, without everything depending on one person. ToolTwist partnered with GoXPro as an extension of its team, sharing the development load, bringing a predictable delivery rhythm, and taking over the day-to-day running of its infrastructure.Read the full story
